philasande ngcamu

Philasande Ngcamu (20)a model  from a EshowE who’s also student in Mangosuthu University of Technology. “For me to embark on this journe. I can

say i never needed and inspiration because it is my passion.

it was something that i believed i was fit for and when i’d tell

my mom that i want to model her reaction was always posi-

tive so that gave me a go ahead. I started modelling back in

2018 where i didn’t make it to the top 5 and i decide to quit

because i felt like modelling is not for me. Sometimes all you

need is a little bit of motivation and also self confidence be-

ause if you don’t believe in yourself then whatever it is that

you’re trying to do will not work out accordingly.

Auditioning for MISS KZN QUEEN was a bold step that i took

and I’m proud of myself  however without the support from

my loved one, I wouldn’t made it this far. Miss KZN Queen

not only focuses on your beauty but it forces you get out of

your comfort zone. The duties  we are given are what help

us grow as young models. While advocating for mental heal-

th, which is a vital topic especially in the youth we are given

a platform where we can help others while helping ourselves

in the process.” She said.

“It is an abslote honour and pleasure to be part of pegeant of this calibre. Moving forward, My aim

is to help young people believe in their dreams and for them to know that a dreamthat is delayed

is not a dream denied”.

MBALI'S FASHION DESIGNING JOURNEY

Mbali Mthethwa (26) , a fashion designer and a owner of Mbaliyabathethwa designs from Eskhawini. She has been in the fashion industry for years creating beautiful

unique designs.”I loved being a fashion designer at a very young age. I knew i

had love for fashion when i was young.”She said. She started  by cutting her old clothes

cause she never liked to wear same clothes as anyone and redo them just make them unique and nice. “ I tried to attend fashion design schools and didn’t finish due to

financial reasons so i had to drop out in 2018 , i tought myself how to design but i got

more information from other different designers and never stopped designing. I wish

one day i’ll become leading owner of national shops exclusively selling my unique

designs to people who love fashion”.Mbali’s taste in fashion is still yet to take her big

places and associate with big brands and artist through the work of her art
